- 1 1/2 cup (3.5 dl) masa harina (dried dough made from ground nixtamalized corn)
- 2 tbsp lard, butter or oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 1/3 cup (3 dl) boiling water
Stir to combine all ingredients into a smooth dough.
Cover and allow to rest for at least 30 minutes.
Divide into 12 equal pieces and flatten into thin, round disks (it helps to place the dough between two pieces of parchment paper).
Cook on a hot griddle or pan until a little browned on each side.
