- 5 lbs (2 – 2.5 kg) starchy potatoes (I prefer Yukon Gold)
- 2 cups (5 dl) milk
- 1 stick (100 g) butter
- 1 tsp salt
- pinch of nutmeg
Peel, cut and cook the potatoes until soft. I prefer steaming them for 3-4 minutes in the instant pot, or boiling them in water for 10-15 minutes.
Mash the cooked potatoes with milk, butter and spices using a potato masher, electric beater or stand mixer with paddle.
