- 1/4 cup (0.5 dl) soy sauce (I prefer reduced sodium Korean or Tamari soy sauce)
- 1/4 cup (0.5 dl) water
- 1 tsp white vinegar (5%)
- 5 tbsp brown sugar, white sugar, or honey (or some of each)
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1/2 tsp fresh ginger, minced
- 1 tsp potato or corn starch
- pinch of black pepper
- 1/2 tsp sesame oil (add after cooking)
Whisk to combine all ingredients except the oil. Simmer until thickened slightly. Remove from heat and add sesame oil.
